Overview
Technical Training and Development role in ABB Services North America (EL Service division) based in Cary, NC. Hybrid work model. You will deliver and support technical training, providing expertise to the EL Services training curriculum and aligning with the strategic training direction set by the business and the technical training and development team.
Responsibilities
Provide management oversight of assigned EL Services personnel located in the Mebane facility; manage day-to-day activities of the Services Training center in NC, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ABB safety requirements, equipment management, and facility maintenance.
Oversee the technical content of the EL Services training curriculum, including development of new and legacy product service trainings, collaboration with third-party content teams, and establishing the technical training course master schedule; ensure resources (training material, instructors, equipment) are prepared in advance of scheduled classes.
Ensure instructors meet instructional requirements (internal certification), provide a safe learning environment (classroom and lab), and maintain accuracy in attendance, content delivery, and certification requirements.
Select and ensure training compliance of third-party suppliers; support technical projects and discussions as needed by the business.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or a similar technical field, or higher education.
Minimum 4 years of field service experience in Power Delivery equipment (preferred), or an Associate degree plus 6 years of related experience, or technical certificate and/or HS diploma/GED plus 8 years related experience.
Experience in technical content development, delivery, and instructor development materials.
Strong cross-functional relationships (Product, Factory, Services); ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet timelines and deliverables.
Experience supporting Electrical Services or products is a plus; LV and MV experience preferred.
Based in or near Cary, NC; travel up to 30% domestically.
Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.
