ICF
Overview
Archaeologist On-Call Pacific Northwest (WA, OR) role at ICF. On-Call Archaeologists are hired for Crew Chief and Crew Member levels in the Pacific Northwest region (based in Seattle, Portland, or remote Washington/Oregon). The On-Call/Temporary Archaeologist may be assigned fieldwork duties, including construction monitoring, survey, testing, evaluation, and data recovery. Other duties (based on experience and qualifications) could include laboratory analysis, background research, report writing, and related analyses or reporting tasks. The on-call may also support logistics and fieldwork preparation activities. This position requires excellent field skills, the ability to identify precontact and historic-period artifacts, and to take detailed field notes. Our cultural resources team includes experts in architectural history, history, archaeology, GIS, data management, environmental regulations, and planning.
On-Call Employment Details Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as “On-Call” employees. On-Call employees are scheduled for work hours as they become available, and typically schedule work hours a few weeks ahead, though last-minute scheduling may occur. On-Call employees may work concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment, as long as outside work does not create a conflict of interest with ICF work. These positions are part-time and paid hourly as non-exempt.
