Position Highlights:
UW Health Northern Illinois is seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (ACNP, AGANP, or PA-C) to join our 30-bed Critical Care Unit at SwedishAmerican Hospital. As a Magnet-designated facility, we provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our growing team of critical care physicians and Advanced Practice Providers is committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced and high-acuity setting. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes while working within an innovative team that emphasizes professional development and evidence-based practice.
Your clinical support includes:
Providing direct patient care in the Critical Care Unit in collaboration with our team of critical care physicians.
Managing complex critical conditions, including ventilator management.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Handling multiple priorities in a busy and dynamic unit.
Qualifications:
At least two years of Critical Care Unit experience (either as an APP or RN), as well as a minimum of two years of acute care APP experience (which may overlap with CCU experience).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative patient care.
