EEC Certified Toddler Teacher (Full-Time) $2,000.00 Sign-On Bonus
The Toddler Teacher will provide direction for the classroom and implement curriculum which promotes social, cultural, educational, physical and emotional growth under the supervision of the Early Learning Program Supervisor. Job Duties:
Keeps up with NAEYC and DEEC standards. Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans to support a developmentally appropriate curriculum for toddlers. Supervises all aspects of the classroom. Ensures care and safety of children. Maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Maintains required program records (attendance, medical, and food service records) Posts schedule, curriculum and menus according to regulation. Attends and participates in staff meetings, training, and YMCA special events. Additional duties as required and assigned by a supervisor to support the overall mission of the YMCA and to ensure the success of the Child Care Department. Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age. Meets qualifications established by DEEC and QRIS. Associates degree preferred or evidence of enrollment in a college degree program. Must obtain current certification in CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention within first 3-6 months of employment provided by the Y. Experience working with children in a developmental setting is preferred. Ability to plan, organize and implement age/developmentally appropriate program activities and curriculum. Job Details: The position is full-time (Non-Exempt) with a schedule of 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:30pm. The pay rate is $18.50-$22.00/hour (based on education and experience) with a full benefit package. New hires for Full-Time EEC teaching positions will receive a $2,000 bonus.
