High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Ability to read, write, speak, and give and follow written and oral directions in English. Training and Experience:

Must have at least 3-5 years of banquet set-up in a leadership role and/or management experience in a Hotel/Resort. Job Knowledge:

Must have a working knowledge of banquet set-ups and equipment, including weddings, meetings, and various other catered events. Must possess management tools including high proficiency in organizational skills. A professional understanding of common courtesy laws and positive internal and external relations skills is required. Job Summary:

Must ensure all meeting, banquet, and storage areas are organized and set to the 5-Diamond standards established. Responsibilities include cleaning, servicing, and maintaining all function rooms and storage spaces, as well as accountability for the care of all banquet equipment and related service areas. Fulfill internal management duties as assigned. Provide total quality hospitality, guest satisfaction, exceeding the Ponte Vedra standard while controlling costs. Physical Abilities:

Must be able to work while moving about at a quick pace for several hours at a time. Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds, including furniture, glasses, dishes, ice, packages, and other related items. Job Duties and Functions: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts if needed. Arrive to work promptly and consistently. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean, and in good condition. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval. Attend all required training, safety courses, office, and departmental meetings. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist in providing a safe work environment. Responsible for maintenance and proper storage of all banquet equipment, complete maintenance requests, and follow up in a timely manner. Throughout the shift, check all meeting rooms, breaks, and storage areas for proper service levels, neatness, cleanliness, and proper storage of equipment. Secure said areas if necessary. Monitor any breakage, damage, or loss of banquet equipment, furnishings, or rooms. Notify the Banquet Director of any problems. Eliminate all safety hazards and report all injuries and accidents to Security and the Banquet Director. Follow and enforce all energy conservation and accident/loss prevention guidelines. Courteously respond to all guest requests, contact the Banquet Director as needed. Submit inventories as assigned by the Banquet Director. Establish and maintain par levels for banquet equipment. Assist all Conference and Catering Managers with their clients’ needs. Perform all other duties that will assist in quality service as assigned by the Banquet Director. Provide monthly equipment inventory updates. Ensure all silver service ware is polished on a weekly basis. Conduct a weekly walkthrough of all Conference and Catering space noting all needed repairs and maintenance for all meeting space and lobbies. Attend BEO meetings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Research pricing on any needed equipment replacements. Submit equipment replacement quotes to the Banquet Director for approval. Place orders for approved equipment replacements. Research trends in new equipment uses in Banquets and Catering. Report any losses of equipment immediately to the Banquet Director. Responsible for orientation and training of newly hired Banquet Equipment Set Up Attendants; provide ongoing training for existing staff. Responsible for the hiring, discipline, and performance of Banquet Equipment Set Up Attendants; advise the Banquet Director of any performance problems.
