We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in a dynamic, multi-state commercial real estate practice. This role involves handling a wide range of responsibilities related to real estate transactions, including drafting legal documents, coordinating closings, and managing post-closing processes.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft legal documents for commercial real estate sales and loan transactions as directed by attorneys
Organize and compile all necessary documentation and research for attorney review
Review and analyze title documents and surveys; prepare draft objection letters
Coordinate and manage all phases of real estate transactions, including sales, leases, loans, assignments, closings, escrow transfers, and reporting
Handle post-closing documentation such as recording, title policies, closing binders, and certificates of title
Prepare entity formation documents and annual filings
Conduct online research and document reviews to gather relevant case information
Maintain accurate records and enter time and matter details into billing systems
Perform additional duties as assigned to support legal operations
Required Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple attorney workloads and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Experience researching and summarizing property records and ownership transfers across jurisdictions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Adobe, Nuance, and legal document management systems such as iManage or WorkShare
Familiarity with a variety of real estate transactions and filings
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five years of experience in commercial real estate within a law firm setting
Hands-on experience with title searches and survey reviews
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
Pay Details:
