Employment Opportunity
As part of the Security Officers team, you will support securing vital assets with training in enhanced security procedures and exposure to advanced technology. The qualifications are high and the training rigorous; successful candidates join a select group within the Inter-Con family. As a Security Officer you are at the tip of the spear for the security solutions provided daily.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise on-staff Security Guards and ensure execution of Site Post Orders and operations; proficient in all Security Officer duties.
Conduct audits and inspections of services and personnel to meet client requirements.
Lead, coordinate, and organize security teams; act as liaison to Client staff as needed.
Security personnel are certified and trained and will be assigned various posts. Some officers may manage equipment and perform shift supervision.
Familiarity with assigned posts and duties
Respond to Management orders
Monitor access control, visitor management, and site activity via patrols or video surveillance
Screen visitors and handle reporting and record keeping
Maintain adherence to SOPs and manage security equipment inventories
Handle emergencies (trespass, fire, medical, threats) and other incidents
Ensure safety management of facilities and effective communication with management
Patrols and enforcement of site security, route incoming calls appropriately
Basic Requirements
Pre-employment drug screen (tests for marijuana, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, opiates, benzodiazepines)
Training in Security and Emergency Procedures, Crowd Control, Irate/Hostile individuals, Public Relations
Training in state policy matters regarding drug awareness, workplace violence, harassment, discrimination; operating electronic security systems
Formal training as needed for operating electronic computer/alarm systems
Additional training as required
Qualifications
Mental alertness, good judgment, ability to follow instructions and apply training
Ability to read, write, speak English; produce clear reports
Ability to monitor environmental and electronic security systems
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Licensing, Permits & Certifications
Valid Driver License if driving is a requirement
Guard Registration card
Physical & Mental Requirements
Ability to perform security work requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion
Good general health and vision (distance vision to 20/30, near vision, color vision) and normal hearing
