Provider Field Representative – California (San Diego Area)
Gainwell Technologies is looking for a Provider Field Representative to support the provider community across virtual and onsite visits, claims follow‑up, training development, and more. The role requires strong communication, training delivery, and limited overnight travel.
Your role in our mission
Under minimal supervision, perform routine to complex tasks related to provider claiming, policies, and training.
Provide training workshops, seminars, and program‑specific group events to the provider community while acting as liaison with internal departments.
Offer one‑on‑one billing support, claim research, analysis, and targeted outreach; support provider association inquiries and events.
Apply knowledge of established policies and procedures to resolve provider issues and ensure compliance.
Escalate areas of concern to leadership or the client as defined by procedures; evaluate unique circumstances and make recommendations.
What we’re looking for
Three or more years of medical claims processing or provider billing experience; knowledge of CMS‑1500 and UB‑04 claim forms.
Hands‑on experience researching, resolving, and educating providers on claim submission, denials, and reimbursement; Medi‑Cal or Medicaid experience preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills; proven ability to manage multiple provider requests efficiently.
Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills for virtual and in‑person settings; focus on simplifying complex billing and policy topics.
Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region to conduct provider visits, outreach events, and training sessions.
What you should expect in this role
Work from home (San Diego area) with required travel throughout the region for training and provider needs.
High‑speed internet connectivity required for remote work; occasional office reporting may be requested.
Compensation and benefits $46,800.00 – $66,900.00 per year; full‑time, salaried; 401(k) employer match; flexible vacation; health and dental benefits; learning and career development opportunities.
