Commercial Lines Account Coordinator (NC hybrid/remote)
This is a full-time position hybrid from Charlotte, NC or remote for well-experienced Commercial Lines candidates aligned to EST schedule.

Summary of Role This role supports the Commercial Lines, Property & Casualty (P&C) team of Client Services Managers and Account Executives to service client accounts and maintain client relationships. It requires strong verbal and written communication. The Coordinator provides administrative support and may assist on new business opportunities. You may join meetings and client calls, but will listen, take notes, and provide follow-up to the team. You will begin to learn Account Management functions, gain exposure to the RFP process, and participate in special projects as directed by senior team members.
Desired experience
is one to several years of P&C experience with Commercial coverages.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Creates and maintains client files under office procedures
Prepares ID cards, certificates of insurance, Accord applications, binders and cancellations under supervision of senior staff
Compiles data for proposals and coverage checklists; may assist in preparing proposals
Verifies documentation (policies and endorsements) and requested information for accuracy
Performs policy checks, audit checks, and completes coverage checklists and coverage letters under supervision
May answer billing questions from clients and insurance companies with assistance from Accounting
Verifies rates, adjusts for additional premium, and expedites invoicing as directed by senior staff
Verifies the accuracy and compliance of requested documentation (policies and endorsements)
Processes premium and non-premium endorsements and follows up with carriers for outstanding policies, endorsements, corrections, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, And/Or Abilities
P&C Commercial Lines experience or Insurance Risk degree or related training preferred
Understanding of policies, endorsements, loss-runs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
Team player with adaptability and willingness to learn
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Highly organized with attention to detail
May be required to work overtime as necessary
When working from home, maintain a private workspace, secure equipment, reliable internet, stay present and responsive during shifts
Education And/or Experience
Minimum one year of Commercial Lines Insurance experience preferred
High School diploma or equivalent required; college is preferred
Experience with EPIC Agency Management System or similar CRMs strongly preferred
Retail brokerage insurance experience is ideal
