Key Account Manager – Cardiovascular – Long Island, NY – BioSpace

Amgen is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to drive portfolio performance within complex partner organizations across Long Island, NY, from Western Nassau County through Eastern Suffolk County. The role reports to a Cardiovascular Account Director and focuses on strategic relationships with health system leaders, formulary adoption, and innovative access solutions. What You Will Do

Develop and execute innovative, compliant strategies to access difficult-to-reach health care providers and accounts. Maintain comprehensive account profiles, needs assessments, and strategic plans. Regularly engage key opinion leaders in Cardiology, Lipidology, Pharmacy, P&T Committees, and other decision-makers within assigned accounts. Present and comply with therapeutic messaging for approved cardiovascular products. Ensure formulary adoption in targeted hospital accounts and coordinate pull-through initiatives across field teams. Monitor cardiovascular portfolio performance and identify drivers/barriers. Coordinate promotional programs, displays, and hospital initiatives to effectively promote assigned products. Build professional relationships with hospital pharmacy, lipid clinical, heart failure clinical, and quality directors. Partner with Organized Customer Team Regional Account Executives and Regional Medical Liaisons. Support open access to the Amgen portfolio via Reimbursement Access Value teams. Provide actionable field intelligence and recommendations to home office, brand teams, and pricing teams. Lead contract delivery, business reviews, performance tracking, competitive response, and value tool execution. Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree & 2 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience. Masters degree & 4 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience. Bachelors degree & 6 years of sales experience and/or related account management experience. Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of account management and/or public payor experience. Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MBA, PharmD) with 7+ years of healthcare sales and/or marketing experience. Clinic, hospital, dyslipidemia, heart failure, access environment and industry experience preferred. Cardiology experience, including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes. Understanding of community cardiology practices and payer dynamics. District management and reimbursement/managed care experience highly desirable. Experience in public payor/agency activities and local coverage determination processes. Additional Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership with influence and impact. Expertise in identifying key staff and departments that influence decision-making for biopharmaceutical product utilization within accounts. Ability to procure appropriate Amgen resources to achieve account objectives. Analytical skills to interpret clinic economics and financial performance. Excellent interpersonal, networking, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to navigate fast‑paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
