TEKsystems has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer to administer and support their global data communications network. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing network systems, ensuring all designs are documented and supportable. As the network expert, you will handle engineering, configuration, deployment, and maintenance across various technologies, including Azure, Campus, Plant LAN, Wireless, WAN/SD-WAN, and Datacenter LAN. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, communicate maintenance and downtime, and develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Responsibilities

Analyze network needs, contribute to design and installation, and lead project implementations. Ensure security compliance and monitor network performance. Perform engineering, configuration, deployment, and maintenance across Azure, Campus, Plant LAN, Wireless, WAN/SD-WAN, and Datacenter LAN. Troubleshoot complex network issues and communicate maintenance and downtime. Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Maintain network topology and documentation with Visio or equivalent tool. Occasionally travel to the secondary data center in Grand Rapids. Qualifications

6+ years of Network Engineering experience (Cisco). Data Center experience: Core Route/Switching (BGP + OSPF). SD-WAN experience: Upgrading to version 3.4. Experience with OSPF/EIGRP/Spanning Tree and with BGP and OSPF routing. Experience in two or more of the following areas: Cloud (Azure, AWS) networking, Routing and Switching, Security (Firewalls, Proxy), Wireless, Data Center, Video/Voice, SD-WAN. Experience implementing and operating security architectures for enterprise network edges (ingress/egress). Experience creating and maintaining network topology and documentation with Visio or equivalent tool. Strong understanding of QoS methods, markings, and mitigation strategies. Experience using network sniffers and analyzing performance data to identify trends and recommend upgrades. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, and ability to convey technical information to varied audiences. Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid change and multiple priorities. Nice-to-have

Cisco ACI and Nexus upgrades experience. Cisco Out-of-Band Management: Opengear experience. Wireless Networking experience. Azure experience. Cisco Firepower. Zscaler. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
