TEKsystems has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer to administer and support their global data communications network. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing network systems, ensuring all designs are documented and supportable. As the network expert, you will handle engineering, configuration, deployment, and maintenance across various technologies, including Azure, Campus, Plant LAN, Wireless, WAN/SD-WAN, and Datacenter LAN. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, communicate maintenance and downtime, and develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Responsibilities
Analyze network needs, contribute to design and installation, and lead project implementations. Ensure security compliance and monitor network performance. Provide troubleshooting across a range of technologies and environments. Communicate maintenance and downtime effectively and develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Occasional travel to secondary data center Grand Rapids. In this position you’ll work a hybrid schedule either 2 days onsite at the corporate office in Mason, Michigan and 3 days remote or vice versa. Qualifications
Experience with OSPF/EIGRP/Spanning Tree protocols. Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols. Experience and knowledge in two or more of: Cloud (Azure, AWS) networking, Routing and Switching, Security (Firewalls, Proxy technology), Wireless, Data Center, Video/Voice, SD-WAN. Experience implementing and operating a security architecture that secures all corporate enterprise network edges (ingress and egress). Experience creating and maintaining network topology, logical flow and other documentation with Visio or equivalent tool. Strong understanding of network QoS methods, markings and mitigation strategies. Demonstrated ability to research and resolve issues across networking, telephony, video, security, and wireless domains. Experience with network sniffers to analyze data and resolve issues. Experience analyzing network performance data to identify trends and recommend upgrades. Ability to maintain composure in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused environment with rapid change and multiple priorities. Excellent customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively. Occasional travel to Grand Rapids, MI. Top Skills
6+ years of Network Engineering experience (Cisco) with Data Center core routing/switching (BGP + OSPF). SD-WAN experience with upgrades (version 3.4). Willing to travel occasionally to Grand Rapids (2-3 times per quarter; more with refreshes). NICE-TO-HAVE

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
