Responsibilities

As an Outside Sales Rep, understand Orkin’s products and services and how to sell them to a variety of industries. Make strategic recommendations to new and existing customers to help prevent pests, uphold quality and safety, and satisfy regulatory standards. Solve problems and build trusted relationships as an essential partner protecting customers’ businesses. Aim to meet sales goals through prospecting new business and managing assigned leads. Utilize marketing tools to drive new business development. Conduct inspections of the interior and exterior of the customer’s commercial property (training provided). Make recommendations to customers based on inspections, address questions, explain solutions, and set expectations for peace of mind about their pest program. Use the provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training provided).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

No experience required; sales experience is a plus High School Diploma or equivalent required Valid driver’s license required Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company-paid) Ability to work in the field independently and interact with clients

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations Safely use a ladder within manufacturer’s weight capacity Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roofs, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling or crawling Wear PPE which may include an OSHA-compliant respirator Willing to work in different weather conditions
