Senior Oracle DBA
for our client in Raleigh, North Carolina. Overview
Senior Oracle DBA with extensive experience designing, configuring, and managing Oracle databases in enterprise environments. Proven ability to work with AWS/Linux platforms, implement high availability and disaster recovery, and collaborate with application developers. Responsibilities
Provision and manage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux. Set up replication and high availability for Oracle databases using tools like GoldenGate. Monitor Oracle database performance and troubleshoot problems. Work with application developers to identify and refine data requirements, assist in table/database design, and SQL writing. Perform backups and restores of Oracle databases. Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work as needed. Qualifications
7 years of designing schema, access patterns, locking strategies, and tuning Oracle databases in an enterprise environment. 7 years of modifying database structures and creating/updating database objects per application needs. 2 years of managing storage with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM). 3 years of configuring, monitoring, and cache management for Oracle database servers. 2 years of implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS/Linux. 3 years of allocating system storage and planning future database storage requirements. 2 years of understanding Exadata hardware and software components. 2 years of shell scripting experience. 5 years of SQL/PL/SQL development. Strong analytical, technical, time management, and communication skills. 2 years of designing and implementing backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions. 3 years of installing and upgrading Oracle database software and applying patches. Good collaboration skills to work with developers and cross-functional teams. Employment details
