QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 5 to 7 years' progressive experience in a related field
Platform & Infrastructure Expertise
Experience with the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat OpenShift.
Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Service Mesh architectures within OpenShift environments.
Prior experience with platform services such as RabbitMQ, Splunk, Linux, MongoDB, Apache Solr, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
Strong Linux skill set with demonstrated knowledge of operating system commands and administrative principles.
Prior knowledge of load balancing technologies and concepts (specific experience with F5 preferred).
Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments or specific cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding of secure coding practices and platform hardening.
DevOps, Automation & Monitoring
Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Codefresh, CI build processes, and use of APIs.
Experience with monitoring solutions (Prometheus and Grafana strongly preferred).
Experience with Ansible is a plus.
Comfortable coding in shell scripting, Python, and Node.js.
Experience with JavaScript, particularly Node.js, is a plus.
Awareness of platform security and compliance considerations in CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities Platform Engineering & Infrastructure
Build, design, and maintain a hybrid cloud infrastructure, integrating on-premises platforms with cloud services.
Configure and manage the lifecycle of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform across development, testing, and production environments.
Manage platform services integrated with custom applications, including Apache Solr, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and others—ensuring lifecycle management and operational readiness.
Refactor applications to meet evolving platform requirements, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
Adapt thinking toward hardware architecture and software frameworks that support custom business applications.
DevOps & Automation
Write and manage GitOps CI pipelines to automate deployment of custom applications to OpenShift.
Deploy distributed applications into Kubernetes using Helm charts.
Create, deploy, and manage Kubernetes operators.
Write and maintain automation code to drive consistency and build a catalog of self-service platform offerings.
Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and participate in agile methodologies including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and ideation sessions.
Collaboration & Leadership
Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of expertise.
Work closely with internal customers to understand requirements and engineer solutions.
Collaborate with partner engineering teams to drive organizational efficiencies.
Prepare content, create presentations, and confidently present to stakeholders.
Learn and become self-sustainable in the team’s product portfolio.
Operations & Support
Maintain technical documentation for platforms and processes.
Enable and monitor end-to-end performance and availability of team platforms, identifying and remediating deviant behaviors.
Troubleshoot complex functional and technical incidents across managed platforms.
Provide on-call and after-hours support on a rotation, including scheduled maintenance windows.
Monitor and manage ticket queues for service requests and incidents.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and context switching between support, ad‑hoc requests, and project work.
