full-time CT Specials Technologist
to work in our
Cat Scan Department . The CT Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all CT activities at Cabell Huntington Hospital and the Byrd Clinical Center. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality of services, confirming orders, documenting medical necessity and pre-authorization, and providing radiological care for diagnosis and treatment of disorders. Operates CT units to perform diagnostic procedures as directed. Position Responsibilities
Performs venipuncture and administers IV contrast as required. Reviews lab results (BUN/Creatinine and GFR) to assess renal function. Follows physician instructions, prepares radiography equipment, positions patients, and obtains optimal images. Adjusts equipment settings for optimal density, detail, and contrast. Positions patients and assists radiologists with biopsies or drainage procedures. Reviews images to ensure quality and completeness. Operates 3D lab software for cardiac and vascular imaging. Participates in rotating call assignments for 24-hour coverage and coordinates scheduling with other departments. Candidates must have ARRT certification, WV Medical Imaging license, and CPR certification. CT Certification is preferred. One year of experience is preferred. Additional Details
