Overview

Analyst Foreign Exchange role at City National Bank (CNB), an RBC Company. This position is responsible for performing analysis in support of foreign exchange transactions for CNB clients, managing currency positions and nostro balances across multi-products, and assisting FX advisors with client engagement and market analysis. What is the opportunity?

This position supports foreign exchange transactions, pricing of retail and captive client transactions, and analysis of market data. It also involves assisting FX advisors with client engagements on hedging strategies and currency trends and writing commentaries on key economic and market developments. Performs other duties as requested. What will you do?

Execute foreign exchange transactions on behalf of CNB clients within policy limits; monitor positions and manage nostro funding and currency positions. Provide pricing support to sales colleagues and cover client deal risk to maximize profitability. Accept and monitor take-profit and stop-loss orders; respond to requests for historical rates and currency forecasts. Operate and maintain programs and applications for client and trading functions; analyze trading portals and market-making resources to inform trading costs and risk. Contribute to daily FX commentary; research key economic/political developments; coordinate group communications on currency trends; analyze and communicate market developments to sales, relationship managers, and clients. Provide market information to help clients manage international exposure and economic trends. Assist FX Sales Manager with analysis of FX business profitability, credit lines, pricing efficiency, and other factors. Support trading room operations, including routine price delivery to clients using pricing tools. Present research to clients in person as appropriate to support FX client service and FX sales. Maintain commitment to bank programs (CustomerFirst, CRA, Affirmative Action) and comply with Bank Operational, Credit policies and regulatory requirements (BSA, KYC, Fair Lending, Code of Conduct, etc.). Complete special projects as requested. What do you need to succeed?

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Minimum 1 year of financial analysis experience Minimum 1 year of banking or financial services industry experience Additional Qualifications Excellent verbal/written communication skills to interact with all levels of bank personnel and customers Understanding of financial market dynamics related to primary duties Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks Computer literacy including market transaction systems approved by CNB What’s in it for you?

Compensation Starting base salary: $34.55 - $55.19 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions. Benefits and Perks
