Role and Responsibilities
This position will support the People Analytics team and is responsible for providing key insights through the analysis of data. We are seeking a People Analytics Analyst to join the People Team’s HR Strategy & Analytics team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
This role will focus on leveraging data to drive strategic HR initiatives by analyzing workforce trends, employee performance metrics, and organizational effectiveness. The incumbent will collaborate with HR leaders to deliver actionable insights that enhance workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement strategies.
Furthermore, these analyses help business leaders make informed decisions based on evidence in data across people and in competing in the external market.
Analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic workforce planning and decision-making
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key HR metrics and KPIs using Tableau
Provides consistent tracking and analysis of key performance metrics to provide business leaders with actionable insights
Delivers regular reporting and data visualizations that include, but are not limited to: workforce planning reports across business divisions, Succession planning, Leadership & Development reports, Talent review data, and workforce trend dashboards
Integrates business performance and market forecasting into workforce planning to ensure headcount allocation is aligned with business growth priorities
Collaborate with HR leaders to design and implement data-driven solutions for talent management and employee engagement initiatives
Supports the team with the ability to analyze, forecast, and showcase the impact of HR programs on turnover, retention, and key measures throughout the employee life-cycle.
Partners with our various Centers of Excellence & stakeholders to enhance organizational processes for business efficiency
Supports the execution of an Annual and Quarterly Analytics plan to enable SEA's 3-year HR strategy and annual Action plan
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining clean and reliable HR datasets
Synthesizes and visualizes insights from data
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced Excel skills and formulas are critical.
Strong PowerPoint skills.
Strong proficiency using Data visualization tools, including Tableau, and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday)
Background in a non-HR job function is a plus but not required
Exceptional communication and written skills, with the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.
Knowledge of at least one of the following: Python, R, SQL
Knowledge of Alteryx
Strong understanding of statistical methods and their application in the business context.
Demonstrated ability on how to approach ad-hoc reports and then translating them into complex data with actionable insights
A bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Human Resources, or a related area of study and 4+ years of relevant experience are required, OR a Master’s Degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong mathematical skills, including statistics, modelling and forecasting, financial planning, and risk management capabilities
Familiarity with HR metrics and workforce planning methodologies
Samsung offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $105,000 for this role, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), employee purchase program, tuition assistance, paid time off, and more.
