Employee Relations Attorney / In-house Employment Counsel

Join our Employee Relations team, which provides comprehensive legal and strategic employment law advice and support to a workforce of approximately 3,100 employees across Macquarie's businesses in the Americas (U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Chile). In this role you will track, manage and maintain compliance with employment and labor law requirements in the Americas (U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Chile) in collaboration with relevant HR teams while also coordinating and managing legal and regulatory change project work, as required. You will draft, review and update Americas policies and procedures as well as build a knowledge bank of advice and capture expertise on employment law matters and legislative updates. Your team will horizon scan for upcoming legislative changes across the Americas region and managing updates with HR and business stakeholders. You will identify and drive opportunities for improvement of process, documentation and governance (including creating and maintaining template documents). What you offer

Juris Doctor (J.D.) 4 to 7 years of employment law experience in all aspects of the employment relationship, practical knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws in the U.S. and a curiosity to learn about employment law in non-U.S. locations Strong organizational and project-management skills Team-oriented individual with highly effective collaboration and communication skills Ability to think strategically and make recommendations for process improvement and drive matters to favorable outcomes What we offer
