– Information Technology We are seeking a talented Programmer Developer to join our IT Markets team. As a key contributor, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining mission-critical applications that are essential for SPP’s System Operations team in overseeing the bulk electric grid and wholesale power markets within SPP's footprint. The IT Markets team is responsible for the performance, optimization, and reliability of these applications, and you will collaborate with subject matter experts across IT to develop and implement technical solutions to challenges that arise to support reliable operations. You will leverage your programming and development skills to contribute to the IT Markets team, optimize system performance, and support the reliable operation of SPP’s essential systems. Locations

The salary range represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates and will consider factors such as qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location during the hiring process. Lead Programmer Developer (Remote Eligible): $109,500.00 - $142,250.00 Senior Programmer Developer (Remote Eligible): $95,200.00 - $123,700.00 Responsibilities and What You’ll Do

We are looking for a talented Programmer Developer to join our IT Markets team. As a key contributor you will: You will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining mission-critical applications that support SPP’s System Operations team in overseeing the bulk electric grid and wholesale power markets within SPP's footprint. The IT Markets team is responsible for the performance, optimization, and reliability of these applications, which are crucial for the day-to-day operations of the electric grid and power markets. In this role, you will optimize the performance and efficiency of various applications and processes, collaborate with IT colleagues to develop technical solutions, and ensure continued reliability of the systems we support. Your specific duties include providing support for the real-time Market Operating System, ensuring it operates seamlessly, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal disruption to operations. As part of a dynamic, collaborative team, you will apply your programming and development skills to contribute to the overall success of the IT Markets team, drive innovative solutions, optimize system performance, and support reliable operation of SPP’s essential systems. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience Lead Level: Eight (8) years of IT development and support experience; or equivalent Senior Level: Six (6) years of IT development and support experience; or equivalent Level II: Three (3) years of IT development/support experience Expert working knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux, application development and support, and database management systems Expert in one or more modern programming languages Expert troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytical skills Expert written and oral communication skills Expert understanding of SDLC and project life cycle methods Excellent customer service and organizational skills Understanding of and compliance with SPP Policies and Procedures Preferred Qualifications

Five (5) or more years of applicable utility industry experience Comprehensive understanding of SPP’s core business model Position Type, Location, and Hours

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours as needed. Remote work may be considered for senior-level candidates located outside a 50-mile radius. Travel
