Brief Description The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, analysis and reporting activities to support strategic decision‑making within the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide valuable insights to enhance financial performance.
Essential Functions
Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning.
Analyze and interpret financial data to provide meaningful insights into business performance and trends.
Partner with department heads to create annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive financial forecasts to guide strategic decision‑making.
Prepare and present regular financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives and projects.
Conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis to assist management in making informed business decisions.
Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Assist in developing risk management strategies to safeguard the financial health of the organization.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting tools, and analytical methodologies.
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the finance department.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and use of financial software/tools.
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
