Summary A senior accountant is responsible for performing complex general ledger accounting, preparing financial statements, managing reconciliations, processing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and company policies. Also ensures month-end closing and processes are executed accurately and timely according to deadlines. Apply proper rules, regulations, policies and procedures in all activities. This role currently reports to Corporate Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains and reconciles general ledgers, balance sheet schedules and reports.

Prepares accruals, journal entries and other necessary documentation to complete the month- and year-end accounting close process.

Assists Accounts Payable by ensuring vendors' invoices and payments are posted in Sage timely and accurately as well as performing vendor statement reconciliation as current as possible.

Prepares year-end tax reporting such as 1099's and submit filings are directed.

Assists with states' sales & use tax filings & preparation as assigned.

Reviews, prepares and posts J / E for debt schedule, fixed assets, ASC 842 lease schedule and prepaids, as well as maintains the assigned worksheets / schedules.

Assists in preparing monthly and year-end financial statements.

Provides support and backup to any other duties / team and / or projects as assigned.

Education / Experience Bachelor's and / or Master's degree in accounting, five or more years of professional accounting experience, certification and public accounting experience are desirable.

Work Hours M-F 8 am - 5 pm (1 hour lunch).
