Overview

The Project Accountant is responsible for coordinating all phases of the construction job costing process including categorizing, recording, analyzing and monitoring costs and billings associated with a large construction project as well as several smaller less complex projects. This position also assures vendor compliance in order to manage project risk. This role is assigned to a large construction project, working closely with the Project Manager to assure timely and accurate accounting and risk management throughout the project life cycle. Responsibilities

Compiles, prepares and analyzes monthly project billings per contract requirements. Performs financial analysis and reconciliation of project costs versus project budget. Manages vendor compliance, insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s. Produces and analyzes job performance and profitability through job cost tracking reports. Assists in preparation of status reports and maintains accurate project statuses and budget information in COINs. Identifies and resolves basic and more complex project-related accounting issues and resolves in a timely manner. What you’ll need to be successful

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or equivalent experience 3-5 years’ of project accounting experience preferred Benefits
