Description
Rainbow Station, the Infant, Toddler and Preschool program at the New Canaan YMCA is looking for
FULL TIME
as well as
PART TIME
teachers to join our team. Candidates should be
enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing
– with a passion for working with young children. Our classroom teachers work together to provide a program which fosters children's social, physical, emotional and cognitive growth. With a recent expansion of additional classrooms, we are looking for both LEAD teachers and Assistant teachers. We offer small classrooms - allowing candidates to indicate their preference for working with infants (6 week to a year), Toddlers (1s or 2s), or Preschool (3s or 4s) - or to be "floaters" across classrooms. Our center is open Mondays through Fridays, from 7:30am to 6pm We would like to hear about your availability!
Qualifications Successful Candidates will possess: High School diploma Knowledge of Early Childhood Development A "Safety First" mindset Excellent communication skills and an abundance of patience Punctual and reliable A love of singing, storytelling, imaginative play and crafts Responsive and flexible to the needs of the program Ability to work well with children in cooperation with other staff and parents of participants
