Check out our website at:https://peterbiltofalaska.com/careers A little about the position: Reporting directly to the Service Manager, our full-time Journeyman Technician position is responsible for analyzing the root causes of equipment failures and proposing corrective actions. Also perform journeyman duties,regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs and replacements. This positionwill adhereto a 4/10 work schedule. Please see duties below. Information about the location you’ll be working at: Here in Anchorage, we have a heated and air-conditioned warehouse! It is a nice size with a great floorplan. Some of the duties of this position: Inspect, troubleshoot, estimate repairs on engines, powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and more. Regular travel to field equipment both in town and remote Produce timely and detailed service reports, accurate timekeeping and expense tracking Competent and thorough use of internal computer systems, including electronic diagnostic tools, parts management and work order management software Performs other related duties as assigned. Mechanical knowledge Journeyman level technician skills. Our job requirements: Able to work 40+ hrs per week. Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. A little about the physical requirements: The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by the team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Team members must be able to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis and be able to stand for long periods of time. Bending, lifting, and pushing will also be required.
