Located at The Villages of Cross Keys, Baltimore School of Music is a vibrant community music school dedicated to providing high-quality music education for students of all ages and abilities. We pride ourselves on connecting passionate, professional music educators with eager learners. We are currently seeking a strings instructor to join our team, teaching private lessons 2-3 days per week based on room availability. RESPONSIBILITIES
As a strings instructor at Baltimore School of Music, you will: Teach private, one-on-one music lessons to children, teens, and adults of all skill levels. Lesson durations will be 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Handle minor administrative tasks, including scheduling and paperwork, to ensure a smoothly running studio. REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience teaching private music lessons to both children and adults. Preference is given to teachers who can teach all strings, including violin, viola, and cello. Preference is given to teachers who can teach beginning piano, but not required. A genuine passion for music education. A consistent and reliable schedule. Effective and prompt communication skills. A commitment to going above and beyond for your students. Teaching liability insurance (must be obtained if not already in place). MUSIC TEACHER EXPECTATIONS
Actively maintain and grow your student base, promoting your studio to prospective students. Work independently with strong communication skills. Schedule make-up lessons and clearly communicate school policies to students and parents. Deliver top-quality music education using both traditional and modern teaching methods. Participate in and promote school-wide events, including student recitals and community activities. Adapt teaching methods and curriculum to meet each student's individual needs. HOW TO APPLY
