Job Summary Reed City High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our coaching staff as a JV Football Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. This seasonal position is ideal for someone who possesses a strong understanding of football fundamentals and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes. The JV Football Assistant Coach will work closely with the head coach to develop players' skills, promote teamwork, and ensure a successful season.

Responsibilities - Assist the head coach in planning and conducting effective practice sessions that enhance player development and team performance. - Provide instruction on football techniques, strategies, and game rules to student-athletes. - Help organize and supervise team activities, including practices, games, and team meetings. - Monitor and evaluate player performance during practices and games, providing constructive feedback and support. - Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among players. - Assist in the development of game plans and strategies in collaboration with the head coach. - Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games. - Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations. - Attend coaching staff meetings and contribute to the overall success of the football program. - Assist with the organization of team fundraising and community service events.

Requirements - Previous coaching experience or playing experience in football at the high school or collegiate level preferred. - Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and rules. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes to achieve their best. - Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment. - Availability to work evenings and weekends during the football season. - Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Must pass a background check as required by school district policies. - High school diploma or equivalent; further education in sports management, physical education, or related field is a plus.
