A
Ski Patroller
will perform high-angle rescues, study snow science and snowpack evaluation, and monitor avalanche mitigation, lift evacuation, guest service and trauma response. Responsibilities
Assist with prepping the mountain for guests daily Attend all applicable safety meetings Work as part of the team to assess conditions and develop an action plan Respond to emergency calls on the mountain as needed Assist with area sweeps to locate lost or injured skiers and/or boarders Provide and/or assist with emergency medical treatment and evacuations as needed Maintain accurate daily logs and follow through with relevant incident reports Assist with avalanche mitigation as required Visibly patrol the mountain, leading by example and assisting guests Qualifications
Current OEC or NREMT or higher medical certifications are required At least 21 years old is required Positive mental attitude, strong work ethic, focused attention to detail, and ability to work well as a team member in all conditions The ability to read and speak English fluently is mandatory Excellent guest service skills, be able to work in inclement weather in a high-alpine environment for extended periods and have the ability to operate all ski patrol-related equipment Have strong vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as needed Flexibility to work weekends and holidays Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching Can safely lift and/or move up to
