Controller — Deerwood, TX | $140,000–$160,000 base + bonus | Schedule: Hybrid | 2–3 days remote About Opportunity: We’re partnering with a fast-growing energy technology company that’s reshaping how energy is delivered and managed. The team is made up of forward-thinking, collaborative professionals who take pride in building what’s next. They’re looking for a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead the company’s accounting and financial operations during a period of rapid growth and innovation. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role, ideal for a finance leader who thrives in scaling environments and wants to influence strategy while still being close to the business. You’ll build structure, drive financial integrity, and help shape the company’s next stage of growth.

What You’ll Do

Lead all accounting operations, billing, A/R, A/P, general ledger, cost, inventory, and revenue recognition.

Deliver accurate and timely financial statements while ensuring full GAAP compliance.

Oversee and optimize the ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365).

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

Strengthen internal controls, policies, and audit readiness.

Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.

Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, capital investments, and financial modeling.

Build and mentor a lean, high-performing accounting team.

Act as a trusted financial advisor to the executive team, bringing data-driven insight and strategic perspective.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role.

Background in energy, power, oil & gas, or manufacturing preferred.

Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.

ERP implementation experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus).

A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
