Serves as unit receptionist, directs patients, visitors and others. This includes, but not limited to, heavy telephone intake, patient registration, booking appointments, obtaining client data, typing
correspondence, managing phone & foot traffic, scanning documents into EHR.2. This position participates fully in shared office tasks, including but not limited to: receiving visitors, scheduling appointments, reception duties and filing.3. Provides back-up coverage for other support staff and assists with coverage for other sites as needed.4. Communicates to all new clients: clinic processes, expectations, & responsibilities.5. Provides estimates for services when appropriate.II. Position Qualifications:License/Certification/Education:Required:
1. Equivalent to high school diploma
Preferred:1. One-year advanced education and training in the business/secretarial/medical field or equivalent experience a plus.Experience/Skills:Required:
1. Ability to handle multiple priorities and effective communication.2. Must be able to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor.3.Must possess a sound knowledge of business systems and office procedures.Preferred:1.Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.2. At least 2 years of office experience, medical office experience preferred. Included in such experience must be typing 40 wpm and
handling high volume telephones.III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:Work is considered sedentary.
