Overview
Finn Hill and Kirkland Middle Schools are looking for qualified Special Education teachers for Transition Center (0.3 FTE) and (0.7 FTE at Kirkland MS) for the 2025-2026 school year. The resource room program provides academic and behavioral supports to students who spend the majority of their time within general education. Teachers may provide pull-out services, push-in supports or co-teach with general education teachers. Responsibilities
Provide special education instruction and supports within the Resource Room setting and/or in collaboration with general education teachers. Collaborate with general education staff to implement IEP goals, progress monitoring, and behavior supports. Participate in transportation of students as appropriate and required by assignment. Qualifications
Washington State teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement. Location and Assignment
Location: Finn Hill Middle School. Transition Center (0.3 FTE) and 0.7 FTE at Kirkland Middle School. Salary & Benefits
Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on the website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year. Application Procedure
