The Women’s and Infants service line at JohnPeter Smith Hospital is a multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practice professionals dedicated to meeting the health care needs of women. Services include preventative health care, prenatal/childbirth/postnatal care, menopause care, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology evaluation and treatment. The team delivers 24-hour in-house inpatient hospital coverage and handles approximately 4,000 deliveries per year. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) group consists of trusted nurse practitioners and certified nurse midwives who work closely with physicians and are valued for their attentiveness, responsiveness, and communication. APPs are integral to maintaining our commitment to quality care. Position Details Schedule: Monday - Thursday (10-hour day shift) Responsibilities include well-woman care, problem gynecology and obstetrics, and managing a diverse patient population with complicated conditions. Duties and Essential Job Functions

Collaborates with the physician in overseeing and coordinating multidisciplinary care to optimize quality patient care. Reviews patient medical charts to assist the physician with diagnosis, treatment and care management. Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary. Monitors guidelines for the management of care and ensures services are delivered in compliance with JPS Health Network and Acclaim guidelines. Provides care education to patients and families. Provides evidence-based, compassionate care to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction scores. Maintains a collaborative environment with providers, clinical staff, and support staff. Supports academic, educational and research endeavors. Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; actively participates in the process. Serves as a resource to the community. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife required Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing Graduate of an accredited Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program OR Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwife program Required Licensure/Certifications: Current and unencumbered licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity of licensure between Texas and another state Current national certification as Certified Nurse Midwife by AMCB or ACNM Certification Council Location Address: 2500 Circle Drive Fort Worth, Texas, 76119 United States
