Part-time, Hourly/Work Study Job Summary
Carry out activities within the police department, including routine foot patrol, traffic control, crime prevention, and event security. Enforce criminal statutes and ordinances. This is a pooled position, with applicants selected as positions become available. The pool expires after a certain period, and applicants will be notified. Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent Valid Utah Driver License Utah P.O.S.T. LEO Certification (Active Status) Work at least 20 hours every 6 months Letter of good standing from current employer Good verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in word processing software Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree Law Enforcement Officer experience Full-time law enforcement employment Knowledge of Spillman software Experience with large crowd events and traffic control Additional Information
Background check required. To apply, complete the online application and attach a resume with three references. If hired, complete necessary HR documents and pass a criminal background check. The screening begins immediately. Due to ACA regulations, individuals previously salaried at Weber State University are ineligible for hourly positions for six months. This is a reserve/volunteer position until Field Training is completed, after which employment may transition to part-time with pay. Applicants must work at least 20 hours every 6 months.
