An international bank seeks a bilingual Japanese Assistant to Economists in New York City. The individual will be responsible for research as well as analyzing mainly U.S. Economic data and preparing reports in Japanese.
Major Responsibilities:
Translate economic reports from English into Japanese.
Translate economic reports from Japanese into English.
Assist other economists with data collection and preparation of presentation materials.
Analyze U.S. macroeconomic data, collect information about government policies and the financial industry, and write reports in Japanese.
Perform related duties including administrative work and participate in special projects as required.
Perform other office duties as requested by the managing economist.
Requirements:
Fluent in Japanese (communicate, read, and write fluently).
Ability to translate English reports to Japanese and vice versa.
Experience as an assistant economist is preferable.
Adequate knowledge of economic and financial data sources, the ability to handle analytic issues, and write economic reports independently.
Bachelor’s degree.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
