Alera Group is seeking a highly motivated Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. Alera Group, founded in 2017, is the 15th largest broker in the United States and offers national resources combined with local service across employee benefits, property & casualty insurance, retirement plan services, and wealth services. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain an existing book of client accounts, including processing renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. Provide technical support to Producers by analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations, and scheduling client appointments. Prepare and submit applications to carriers, follow up on quotations, and process binders, certificates, policies, and endorsements. Review audits, verify accuracy of policies and changes, and facilitate corrections between clients and carriers as needed. Handle incoming mail and phone requests, promptly responding and resolving issues, including cancellation requests. Identify client exposures to loss and recommend appropriate coverage in coordination with Producers. Experience designing fund management liability insurance solutions for private equity and hedge fund managers is preferred. Qualifications
College education with 3+ years of insurance experience, or 7+ years of insurance experience, and a Property & Casualty Agent’s License. Strong oral and written communication skills to explain and interpret complex information effectively. In-depth knowledge of insurance products, markets, and underwriting/rating procedures. Proficiency in computer and word processing programs, with the ability to manage complex tasks involving abstract and concrete variables. Strong visual processing skills to interpret written materials and other forms of communication. Additional Information
This role can be located in the Cleveland area or Grand Rapids, MI. Hybrid work type. Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401(k), generous paid time off, and more. Salary range is $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
