Summary/Objective: The HVAC Service Sales Account Representative at VMG Mechanical, a Modigent company, focuses on building and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with clients across designated markets to promote VMG’s HVAC services and preventative maintenance agreements. This role involves developing and selling tailored HVAC solutions to meet client needs in various industries. In an assigned territory, you will collaborate closely with VMG’s service and technical teams to grow the HVAC service agreement business. Your primary goal is to meet sales targets by nurturing existing client relationships, prospecting new business, and delivering customized HVAC solutions. Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive sales of HVAC services and preventative maintenance agreements. Identify and prospect new business opportunities within assigned markets, compiling lists of potential clients based on territory and industry needs. Understand client requirements and collaborate with the VMG service team to prepare accurate cost estimates and professional proposals for HVAC solutions. Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring timely delivery of proposals and high-quality client communication. Present VMG’s HVAC services, including maintenance agreements and system solutions, to existing and prospective clients. Negotiate terms of service agreements to secure deals while maintaining client satisfaction. Develop a pipeline of future sales opportunities and maintain accurate forecasting and activity tracking in the company CRM. Provide exceptional after-sales support to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty. Stay informed about advancements in the HVAC industry, attending industry events, training, and conferences as needed. Work collaboratively in a team-selling environment, leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver value-driven solutions. Create and maintain account management plans for key clients to support consistent engagement and growth. Uphold the highest standards of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications
Must Have: High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record. Ability to travel within the assigned territory daily. HVAC industry experience. Nice to Have: Bachelor’s degree in a technical, industrial, or related field. Experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts. Commercial HVAC industry experience. HVAC service sales experience. Knowledge of Salesforce or other sales tracking software. Work details
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct reports but requires strong internal relationship management and team collaboration to deliver client solutions effectively. Work Environment: This role operates in a professional office environment, at client locations, and remotely. You will regularly use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, tablets, and CRM systems. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position with regular hours of Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet client needs or deadlines. Travel: Travel is primarily local within the assigned territory during business hours, with some out-of-area or overnight travel expected for client meetings, industry events, or training.
