$22.00/hr - $30.00/hr Key responsibilities
Provide customer service primarily to retail customers via walk-in, telephone, or email, including assisting with product selection, pricing, availability, refunds/exchanges, requiring working knowledge of company products, procedures and practices. Actively engage in selling window and door products/services and related items. Educate customers on product knowledge and provide guidance for each project. Provide estimates and quotes for small window and door packages. Enter orders into the system and schedule delivery of products. Plan and pace own work to meet daily, weekly, project, or team productivity goals. Coordinate and conduct customer workshops. Handle and resolve simple customer complaints and refer more complex issues to more senior staff for resolution. Assist with showroom housekeeping, signage, stocking, inventory control, and other related activities. Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury; attend safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six (6) months sales-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies
Knowledge of company products, competitor’s products and company standards Knowledge of company product pricing, discount and estimating formulas and guidelines Good verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates strong detail orientation skills Strong customer service skills Knowledge of basic sales techniques, concepts and the ability to influence and persuade Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program Excellent computer skills and ability to quickly learn multiple vendor quoting programs Work environment / physical activity
Subject to both typical office environment and outside locations with temperature and weather variations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds. Standing or walking for 80% of the day. Stooping and kneeling throughout the day. Occasionally will use hand tools, saws, forklift, pallet jack to assist customers. Reaching-extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Compensation and benefits
In addition to the base wage listed, this position is eligible to receive commission compensation for earned commissions related to sales of eligible Company products and/or services, subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Commissions are based on a percentage of the transactions sold and subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable Commission Agreement.
