Triangle Ready Mix is seeking an experienced concrete sales representative to join our team. Position Summary :

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Outside Concrete Sales Representative will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales plans that align with the company goals. Promote and sell ready-mix concrete. Develop a reasonable but aggressive sales forecast for customers that will enable the company to reach its goals. Ensure all relevant projects are quoted. Maintain budgeted volumes through key customers and clients. Develop and grow the customer service direct reports using leadership skills and mentorship. Communicate and maintain relationships with customers to protect TRM’s positions. Keep management informed of all industry-related activities that influence sales and pricing. Gather leads from various sources including but not limited to newspapers, online construction news services, customers, townships, construction offices, drivers, vendors, and by canvassing the sales territory for new starts. Procure appointments with contractors in an office environment and in the field to present the company in a professional light. Track commercial, residential, municipal and construction leads from the planning stage of a project through delivery of our product. Monitor projects from start to finish by acting as a liaison between the client/contractor and dispatch to ensure accurate and timely delivery of the product. Visit sites and customers regularly that are currently being serviced by our ready-mix locations. Develop sales plans and strategies that reflect current market conditions and will expand market share. Coordinate with Customer Service and QC to assign Technical Sales Representatives to jobsites and other duties. Aid the Accounts Receivables Department in collecting balances, as required. Attend functions that are related to the industry and inter-company meetings as required. Support our community by being a presence locally. Maintain awareness of external competition and the competitive landscape as well as opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, and standards. Maintain an active involvement with local industry groups, homebuilders, and civic organizations. Establish a consulting relationship with customers and provide and coordinate technical training for those customers. Work closely with customer service, quality control, operations, safety, and accounts receivable. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Maintain strict confidentiality and calmness in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. Position Characteristics:
