Job Description Drive forklift trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts, fork-grapples, clamps, elevating platforms, or trailer hitches to move raw paper materials, in-process products, finished products, equipment, or materials in warehouse, storage yard, or factory. May operate overhead rail cranes or rail car movers like Trackmobile. Load and unload semi-trailers. Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies. Perform safety checks on lifts, lubricate trucks, recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks, or replace liquefied-gas tanks. Responsible for inventory control, tracking, and reporting using a materials management system. Organize and assign storage space in warehouses. Qualifications Knowledge and skill in operating controls for forklifts and clamp trucks. Skilled in handling controls for starting, stopping, backing, and driving in narrow aisles, ramps, and around trucks. Able to assess load height, width, and weight, and ensure loads are balanced and within forklift capacity. Familiar with storage area layouts to efficiently locate and place items without detailed instructions. Skilled in maneuvering forklifts in tight spaces. Additional Information The pay range for this role is $17.25 to $25.00 per hour, varying by location and experience. Compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or incentives.
