Job Purpose As a Curriculum Coordinator, you will oversee curriculum implementation, provide curriculum training and support to teachers, conduct ongoing staff development, perform classroom visits, collect and report quarterly student data, and monitor curriculum and tutoring programs. Accurately demonstrate knowledge of the content area and approved curriculum. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources for each area taught. Communicate with students to enhance learning and understanding. Apply principles of student growth, development, and learning. Promote positive student behavior and a safe, healthy environment. Recognize student diversity and foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Be willing to examine and implement instructional change as needed. Work productively with colleagues, parents, and community members. Meet professionalism requirements and responsibilities. Comply with the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession Standards of Professional Conduct. Collaborate with teachers and CRT through co-planning, co-teaching, and coaching. Assist staff in interpreting data to improve student achievement and instruction. Ensure curriculum aligns with state and national standards and promote understanding through planning. Promote the use of effective, research-based instructional strategies, including differentiating instruction for diverse learners (e.g., ELL or students with disabilities). Foster home/school/community partnerships to support student learning. Provide leadership for a school-wide academic program in collaboration with administrators. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance content knowledge and pedagogy. Design and implement intervention strategies for students needing extra support. Collect, analyze, and report student testing and data. Maintain liaisons with district and professional associations to stay current on testing requirements. Administer and analyze reading and/or math diagnostic and progress-monitoring assessments. Work with teachers, parents, and students to develop individualized learning plans and academic support. Required Qualifications And Skills
Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the position and CSUSA’s mission and values. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, the community, and staff. Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and informational skills; ability to negotiate and influence. Reliability: punctual, responsive to management direction, and open to feedback. Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS), and email communications. Attention to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness; commitment to best practices and positive character education. Knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law. Work Environment
Usual school working conditions; may be noisy during high student traffic. Physical Demands
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Dexterity to operate a computer and other standard office equipment; good vision and hearing to perform job duties. Speak in audible tones suitable for clear communication in typical classroom environments. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead. FLSA Overtime
