As a banquet server, you will play an instrumental role in event operations by being responsible for serving all catered food and beverage items to our members and guests during private and club event functions
Requirements
Read and execute a Banquet Event Order (BEO), with ability to set tables and buffets to specifications
Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned functions
Recognize and ensure that all members and guests receive proper, attentive, courteous service
Transfer food from the kitchen to the dining rooms by carrying trays; be able to serve and remove dishes as instructed
Facilitate proper service techniques, such as serving from the left and clearing from the right
Serve and clear food and beverages quietly, professionally, and quickly
Perform all assigned side work and duties
Assist in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, bussing glasses, silverware, dishes, and etc.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and people skills, attention to detail, highly motivated
Ability to read and interpret written documentsMust be willing to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays
Three to six months related experience preferred
Frequently lift and carry up to 25lbs; occasionally lift and carry up to 35lbs.
Remain on feet, standing and walking for prolonged periods of time
