The Neuro Intensivist Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) is a certified, licensed nurse practitioner or physician assistant who independently and collaboratively works with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and/or medically complex patients in the neuro-intensive care unit. Our multidisciplinary team includes dedicated EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, and fellowship-trained neuro-intensivist physicians who work closely with neurosurgery and neuro-interventional teams. Responsibilities
Provide advanced practice care in the neuro-intensive care unit in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Collaborate with EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, and neuro-interventional teams to deliver comprehensive care. Support continuing education and professional development within the neuro-critical care setting. Qualifications
Board certified and licensed as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate. Must have National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain NPI, prior to employment start date and meet current Medicare requirements for billing. Must hold current DEA Registration with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 and State issued prescribing authority. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) certifications. Preferred experience of at least one year in the neuro-critical care setting as a NP or PA, or neuro ICU experience as a registered nurse. Job Details
