The School of STEM at Avila University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for Biological Sciences. Responsibilities include: Teaching lectures and labs for courses such as Introductory Biology (Cells, Genes, Ecology, Evolution, Environmental Science, Organismal Biology). Conducting all class sessions as scheduled. Providing instruction, activities, assignments, assessments, and feedback to meet course objectives. Delivering content effectively, accommodating students with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and levels of preparation. Collaborating with the program Chair and Laboratory Manager. Performing other duties related to courses as needed. Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. Commitment to teaching excellence. Experience with diverse populations (preferred). Multilingual skills (highly preferred). Ability to support a diverse student body, including first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice. Additional Information
Stipend varies based on credit hours and experience. Located in Kansas City, a vibrant metropolitan area offering cultural and social opportunities.
