Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of projects, including monitoring contracts, creating budgets, managing timelines, developing schedules, and ensuring quality deliverables. Conduct technical planning studies and maintain communication with clients and project managers from inception to completion. Manage, lead, train, develop, and mentor technical and professional staff and planning workload. Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and ensure quality standards. Prepare and oversee research, fieldwork, legal regulations, and documentation supporting planning reports. Read, interpret, compose, and review technical documents such as Categorical Exclusions, EAs, EIRs. Coordinate and facilitate public involvement meetings and workshops. Prepare and lead proposals and presentations for project acquisition. Develop land use, utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation recommendations to guide development. Visit field sites for data collection and investigations. Prepare technical studies, especially NEPA and CEQA documents. Assist senior staff in monitoring contracts and budgets. Attend internal and external meetings. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with six (6) years of planning, environmental, transportation, or socioeconomics experience, or ten (10) years of general planning experience; AICP preferred. At least three (3) years of experience writing CEQA documents preferred. Salary Range

$96,000 - $110,000
