Overview

Research Associate - Neuroscience & Regenerative Medicine. This position participates in research data collection and documentation within relevant guidelines and protocols; develops and evaluates new research techniques and procedures; and publishes results in scientific journals. Responsibilities

Participate in research data collection and documentation within relevant guidelines and protocols. Breed, genotype, and maintain mouse and rat colonies. Prepare staged embryos or gametes for manipulation, introduce genetic modifications using appropriate methods, and transfer manipulated or VF-derived embryos into recipients. Support cohort generation and preservation using appropriate assisted reproductive technologies. Maintain familiarity with current advances in transgenic and assisted reproductive technologies and literature and apply such knowledge toward development of new or improved technologies. Design routine experiments and/or processes. Consistently follows and critically evaluates appropriate methods and protocols. Independently implements experimental design and/or processes. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory, particularly clinical trial research; or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years’ research and/or clinical experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Skills:

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Abilities:

Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions. Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required). Salary Minimum: $45,400 annually. Pay Band: B8 Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position. Recruitment Period: Until Filled.
