Join the U.S. Secret Service as a Federal Police Officer (Uniformed Division) with a $50,000 Recruitment Incentive. The base pay range is $75,134.00/yr - $129,251.00/yr. Note that relocation to Washington, DC is required. This role offers a $50,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. At the Secret Service, officers are courageous, intelligent, strong, and determined. As a Uniformed Division Officer, duties include: Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area. Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions. Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A. Requirements for this role include: U.S. citizenship. A current valid U.S. driver's license. Being at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time of conditional offer of employment. Carrying and using a firearm, with mandatory firearm proficiency. Possessing uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular and corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. Hearing loss not exceeding 25 decibels in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Submitting to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing while occupying the position. Completing 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center. Registering with the Selective Service System or being exempt from having to do so, if applicable. This is an entry-level, full-time position in law enforcement.
