Concrete Sculptor

GeoStabilization International . GSI is building a concrete sculpting business within our core Geotech business. We are looking for experienced concrete sculptors to become the core of the operational side of the business and help train fellow crew members to offer highly desirable finishes for geohazard mitigation work. About the Role:
As a Concrete Sculptor, you will collaborate with soils crews, engineers, and project managers to understand design specifications and ensure seamless integration of sculptural elements into construction. You should have a strong background in concrete sculpting and coloring, capable of producing intricate, durable, and aesthetically appealing wall features for commercial projects. Responsibilities include shaping, coloring, texturing, and finishing concrete to meet high standards, adhering to project timelines and safety protocols. You will also assist with core operations and mentor newer sculptors to develop their skills for artistic finishes. About GeoStabilization International:

We specialize in emergency slope stabilization, landslide repair, rockfall mitigation, grouting, and micropiles using design/build contracting. Our team comprises dedicated professionals with proprietary tools and global partnerships to resolve complex slope and foundation issues in diverse geologic settings. Responsibilities: Create sculpted concrete (shotcrete) walls, ensuring accuracy, technical specifications, and artistic expression. Color, sculpt, carve, and texture concrete surfaces with precision. Finish concrete with attention to durability and appearance. Execute varied surfaces like stacked stone, geologic, and ashlar. Read and understand measurements and technical specifications. Train and support sculptor helpers and team members. Follow quality, safety, and environmental guidelines. Keep records of sculpting activities. Assist in soils earthwork and other duties as needed. Maintain clear communication with team members and project managers. Qualifications: Ability to travel extensively on a rotating schedule (2-5 weeks working/traveling, 1 week off). 3+ years of experience in high-volume concrete sculpting, coloring, and texturing, preferably in commercial or public environments. Proficiency with sculpting tools and equipment. Ability to work at heights. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications. Strong communication and time management skills. What We Offer: Opportunity to build a multi-million dollar in-house concrete sculpting business. $30-35/hour plus overtime.
