Overview
CDL Class A Driver - Dry Bulk (Local Route). Location: Port Canaveral, FL to Cocoa, FL. Schedule: Local Runs | Home Daily. Starting Point: 575 Cargo Rd, Port Canaveral, FL 32920. Destination: 3325 Beau Geste Rd, Cocoa, FL 32927. This role involves local dry bulk pneumatic transfers between Heidelberg Materials silos at Port Canaveral and the railyard silo in Cocoa, on a consistent, short-haul nightly route from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Responsibilities
Load dry bulk cement at Heidelberg silos (575 Cargo Rd, Port Canaveral). Drive trailer into the loading bay under the silo, exit vehicle, and access the top of the trailer to open the hatch. Ensure proper alignment of the trailer with the silo discharge chute and start loading. Transport approximately 16 miles to the railyard silo at 3325 Beau Geste Rd, Cocoa. Connect hoses for pneumatic unloading (discharge hose to silo inlet; silo pneumatic pump to trailer air inlet). Operate the silo-based pneumatic pump: turn on, open discharge valves, monitor pressure and flow gauges. Disconnect and stow hoses after unloading; maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch and site personnel. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and pneumatic equipment. Route Details
