The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with thousands of students for online instruction nationwide. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities
Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring and personalized instruction to individual students. Deliver on-demand tutoring sessions when available. Utilize the Live Learning Platform to tutor remotely without commuting. Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching. Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style. Expertise in NMLS and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Compensation and Schedule
Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects; potential to earn up to $40/hour with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions invoiced. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. About Varsity Tutors
