Director of Resident Care - Full Time at Pinnacle Living (Deep Run). This role supervises 24-hour clinical services in memory support and/or assisted living, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads the clinical team to deliver holistic resident care. Base pay range: $65,280.00/yr - $79,975.00/yr Employment type: Full-time Responsibilities
Responsible for 24-hour clinical services in memory support and/or assisted living. Educates on clinical matters as needed in the community and serves as a clinical mentor to the clinical team for regulatory compliance, general operations, infection control, wound management, and team member education. Ensure all clinical aspects of transitioning residents are met. Interviews and makes final selection of applicants for employment, responsible for the orientation, training, direction, and supervision of all clinical personnel. Prepares work schedules and conducts job performance evaluations. Makes recommendations regarding personnel status and appropriate staffing levels within operating guidelines. Directs and coordinates nursing practices toward restoring and maintaining a holistic approach to meet residents’ needs. Ensures that service plans are written and revised according to State and Federal regulations for all residents. Ensures compliance with operating policies and governmental regulations. Acts as liaison between Physicians, Rehab, Pharmacy and clinical team members. Coordinates an ongoing in-service education program for the clinical team; attends mandatory in-service and completes Relias Learning in-services assigned. Checks residents’ medical records for accuracy according to Federal and State regulations. Evaluates environmental safety and recommends changes when applicable. Participates in Resident Care Conferences, QAPI, and other committees as appropriate. Interviews and assesses all applicants for admissions into the community. Oversees all software programs utilized by the clinical team. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a diploma or degree. Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia. CPR/AED certification required. 4+ years of licensed nursing experience; minimum of 4 years supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Mastery of practical knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and procedures; strong verbal and written communication skills. Specialized knowledge of disease processes and treatments. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; ability to manage the clinical team and collaborate with other operating departments. Supervision and Decision Making
Little to no supervision; works independently with strong independent judgment. Decision-making often involves non-standard situations; uses senior-level expertise to resolve issues and coach managers. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; extensive walking, bending, stooping, and standing. Fast-paced environment with multiple tasks; rounds daily throughout the facility; respond to problems and emergencies. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and inclement weather as needed. Exposure to typical health care environment including residents with dementia. Benefits
